Naked in the sun

This island in the Iles d’Or archipelago is given over to the private Héliopolis naturist estate where naturism is practised everywhere except in public places – on the beach it's mandatory! "Naturism is a lifestyle in harmony with nature, expressed by social nudity and characterised by self-respect and respect for others and the environment." Quite the spirit of this place, where you swim, run, are massaged and even do yoga naked, but slip on clothes to go for a drink, lunch or dinner. The island is packed with charming terraces set amidst the Mediterranean forest's cacti, arbutus trees and holm oaks. A real experience.
