In Tatiana's fairy fingers, flowers sing, dance and tell sweet stories, as in the Hans Christian Andersen tales she adores. For Tatiana, flowers are music that we can see, and like music their transient beauty exists here and now, before disappearing and leaving only memories behind. The floral designer has achieved the acme of this art of adorning the present moment in her flower dresses: like Thumbelina's costumes, these one-day wonders blend the delicacy of a girl on a summer's day with the exuberance of jewellery in precious stones. Tatiana is Ukrainian; she studied in Saint Petersburg, has lived in Estonia for almost 20 years, and in Russia is a leading light in floral decoration. Her career took off with all the panache of a luxuriant spring, when in the first competition she entered she won top prize, at Japan's International Flower Show. Worldwide exhibitions and the Flower Ball, launched in her beloved Tallinn then brought to the South of France, were logical follow-ups, for as she says herself: "I love life so I adore making it even more beautiful!"
