Young, svelte and pretty Swann unarguably is, but that isn't what sticks in your mind, her most striking features being her determination, lucidity, perceptiveness and outspokenness. Ignoring the dictates of fashion, a little over a year ago she launched a superb collection of scarves for which she combines together the finest materials – silk, rabbit fur, leather, python skin, feathers, tassels, beads, lace – so as to create very special accessories. It's a concept Swann has been working on for years, ever since she attended Monaco's school of fine arts then studied fashion business in Milan and London. Self-taught, much inspired by her travels in Asia and moulded by a country childhood, Swann trusts her instinct and is especially sensitive to her feelings. Having detested dressing up until she was 15, she now creates each piece for her own pleasure more than anything else. Step by step, helped by her stylist, she brings these fabric squares to life as if writing poetry. But Swann has big ideas and looks to the future too, never losing sight of her goal to develop her brand internationally. Which is why she chose to base it in Monaco, a place she feels fundamentally connected to and which is, of course, especially suitable for commercialising a luxury product. So we can all look forward to one day, summer or winter, wearing her "made in Monaco" creations.
