Audrey Courbier trained in Sophia-Antipolis then worked for Estée Lauder for 10 years before deciding to create her own line of very special perfumes.
A childhood dream, having been brought up with the charismatic perfumes favoured by the women of her family: "My mother wore her perfume like an identity, I remember it as her mark, her signature, a scent that hung in the air after she had passed, but never obtrusively." So this fragrance artist drew inspiration from the French Riviera – Cannes, Monaco, Saint-Tropez – and two cities she is particularly fond of, Paris and New York, to create, in Grasse, a line of five very French perfumes. It took two years for her black bottles with their precious contents to come on the market. Her fragrances tell five stories conceived as film shoots: Premier Rôle evokes the sophistication of the Croisette, Rocher Princier the luxury of Monaco, Inavouable-Saint-Tropez a summer's night, L'Amour, La Mode... Parisian chic, and Amazing Shooting the buzz of Manhattan. These unusual unisex fragrances are modern offerings inspired by special places, which each wearer then makes their own. "Perfume is an intimate adornment of which everyone has a share in the secret," the woman behind Making Of says.
