Traballa, Hadéenne, Lana… any of those ring a bell? These poetic names belong to accessories created by Kelly Favre: clutch, girly mini-bag, bracelet and headband, crown of flowers inspired by Lana Del Rey's oneiric world. A collection crocheted entirely by hand, which is going to sweep the boards this summer! "I recycle Lycra fabrics from swimsuits. The more kitsch the fabrics, the more rich and colourful the result," says Kelly, who's passionate about working with materials. The Nice-born 26-year-old grew up in an artistic and creative environment thanks to a decorator Dad and a Mum who paints, and Kelly herself spent a year at Monaco's school of fine arts. But this self-taught artist found her source of inspiration in Paris, at the Perrotin art gallery. Artist Farhad Moshiri awakened a passion for embroidery that led her to work on the advertising campaign for Miss Dior Chéri perfume. Then one day this inveterate rummager had the idea of crocheting fashion accessories. In February 2013 she launched her brand and opened her studio in Beaulieu-sur-Mer; everything is made right there so this is truly local artisanry. Guided always by art and inspired by the world of women, Kelly is a free spirit.
