These two brothers teeming with ideas take themselves off into unexpected places to record all sorts of noises that they turn into music. These tracks dubbed A Day At…, which take listeners into a sawmill, workshop, glasshouse or restaurant kitchen, have created quite a buzz on social media. Great vibes out of clinking cutlery and rustling plants! Armed with this cosmic music of sophisticated rhythms that propel you into imaginings, Julien and Thomas do the rounds of big festivals and specialist clubs in Berlin, Amsterdam, London and further afield. They're Dutch but learnt their trade in jazz and classical at Monaco's Académie de Musique before connecting with electronica in the Netherlands. In 2015 they combined their instrumentation and sampling skills to form the duo Parallells. Determined to get the Côte d’Azur moving in tune with Europe's trends, concepts and advances, these talented youngsters are also behind the Klassified Records label on which they're soon to release their fourth EP, and this summer's Klassified Music Festival at Col d’Eze on 21 and 22 July. The line-up for that features Audiofly, Blond:ish, Damian Lazarus and the label's extended family of artists with whom they released a compilation this April. The festival will be a mix of music and wellbeing, with yoga, massages and live painting.
