Working girls. Unbridled creativity
Whether it’s outfits or suits, blue-collar togs, or cabin crew clothing... this season's workwear has the perfect touch of sophisticated twist for stylish women about town or working from home.

With teleworking becoming more widespread, the temptation of homewear could have put an end to any fashion or glamour considerations. Of course, pyjamas, slip-dresses, bathrobes, and jogging suits are flourishing in all the collections, from luxury fashion houses to large chains. Dior has launched the Dior Chez Moi line of indoor clothes, and Zara is taking over the loungewear market with flying colours. Note, however, they may be officiating "@home" but they have not forgotten the nuts and bolts of a carefully constructed silhouette. Quite the contrary! On the catwalks, designers are dipping into the archives, relying on long-established values. Spring-summer 2021, whether we are confined or not, will or will not be chic. Empowered women and creative teleworkers are rapidly adopting the oversize suit with square shoulders, a looser fit than the 80s businesswoman look but just as sexy. Worn next to the skin, the plethora of menswear-inspired styles—2 or 3 pieces at Alberta Ferretti and Fendi—plays the controlled sensuality card. More fitted but just as winning, Olivier Rousteing for Balmain's slim-fitting sharp shoulder jacket and flared trouser combo is irresistibly appealing. If you have the blues, some 70s lightness is good for morale and your wardrobe. Put on a maxi trench coat not just to go out (but also to camouflage pyjamas, oversized trousers, and cuddly sweatshirts). Its 80's proportions seen at Prada, Sportmax and Balenciaga form protective armour when you leave your bubble.

Inspiré par les tenues du staff aérien des 70’s, The Air Uniform de la griffe Salut Beauté se décline, cette saison, en combinaison.

Coupes pures et monochromes minimalistes, Fendi signe une silhouette citadine et facile à porter.

Cleared for immediate take-off
When not appropriating men’s dress codes or opting for minimalist lines that made the 90s great, they are gracefully pulling on their pump attendant overalls. Because let's be honest, a woman is imposing in work overalls. Houblon Platine’s obsession focuses on making assorted combinations in a palette of bold colours adorned with embroidered message patches. Equally obsessed, Parisian brand Salut Beauté draws on 70s flight attendant outfits for inspiration. Baptised the air uniform, the new uniform for girls in the public eye avoids that morning headache in front of the mirror. Easy to mix and match, jacket and trousers can be worn perched on heels or cool style with sneakers. Reinvented by the great fashion houses or found in the more specialised second-hand shops, workwear is the perfect accompaniment to business-womens’everyday life. And with good reason! Not content with being both practical and comfortable, workwear is completely out of the blue becoming more sophisticated. A flashy handbag, costume jewellery, a well-chosen belt, oversized frames, or girly pink accessories, and you're done!
