The famous leather brand established in some hundred countries has just inaugurated its very first Monte-Carlo store.
The French firm founded in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain chose the Park Palace for its latest outlet, a 100m² showcase designed specifically for the Principality, meaning a few precious touches added to the brand's traditional colour scheme of mainly brown and beige. Azul-blue marble marks the entrance in tribute to the French Riviera, while the exclusive décor features leather plus wonderful, exotic and precious, woods such as ebony and flecked maplewood. The two-floor store stocks all Longchamp's collections along with its more unusual pieces. Downstairs, the luggage and men's line sit with the leather accessories and the great brand classics such as the Pliage handbag in leather or nylon. The ground floor is devoted to the ready-to-wear, seasonal goods – Splashline, Pliage Illusion – and the latest new products such as the Cocchino line in black or powdery pressed leather, the tricolour version of the Pliage Héritage, and the Roseau Réversible whose zippy navy and pink version is one of this season's stand-outs.
