This graduation project focuses on a geographical area situated between the Italian district of Latte and Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. The first phase of work was to analyse the area, which resulted in a proposal for
a cross-border programme involving a number of players. Building a landscape interpretation centre means their varying interests can be brought together in one place. A research laboratory is included for the science, with various work projects which are already mapped out. Additionally, it is inten-ded to exhibit the work of artists so they can com-municate how they see the Mediterranean. The building itself features a series of contrasts: gravity and elevation, heaviness and light-ness, solidity and emptiness.
