“Guarantee the conditions for the airports' sustainable development”

The Côte d’Azur's airports are vital tools in our region's attractiveness and competitiveness. The Macron Law has been passed and the government has decided to sell its share in the Société des Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur. The conditions of contract for potential buyers must now provide the essential guarantee that the conditions for the airports' sustainable
development will be met. Some demands have already been validated, either by amendments to the Law or by publication or oral acceptance by the minister, on principle at least. They are: - To include the CCI and local authorities in negotiations and the adoption of the main lines of strategy. - To ensure buyers' long-term commitment (10 years minimum) by prohibiting changeovers of investors whose interests are purely financial.
- To continue with projects already launched, such as ACA's commitment to Line 2 of the tramway and to growing Nice into a European business aviation leader.
- To ensure continuity of the commitment to sustainable development by consulting with local residents and
politicians, obtaining Airport Carbon Accreditation etc.
- To initiate a long-term industrial project presenting the development objectives and repercussions for our region.- To initiate a social project presenting the airports' goals and prospects for maintaining and increasing jobs.
