Aldo Amoretti's photos have been published in major architecture magazines such as The Architectural Review, Detail and Abitare, and have been shown at the Venice Biennale, the Bund Deutscher Architekten BDA in Stuttgart and other international exhibitions. In 2017, Amoretti's photos of Peter Zumthor's Zinc Mine Museum in Sauda, Norway, earned him international recognition with an A+ Award from Architizer, the leading online architecture platform. Amoretti graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1992 and worked as an architect until 2005, winning many prizes in partnership with Marco Calvi, among them the AR+D Emerging Architecture Award (2003 and 2006), the PAI Prize (2006), Archdaily Building of the Year 2006, and the L Cosenza Prize (1996, 2002 and 2004).
