Hot new rooftop spots are springing up all over the Côte d’Azur capital, some pop-ups, others not. Choose between a sweeping sea view and an urban perspective.

The most stylish. The Anantara Plaza Nice rooftop terrace is the hotspot for rosé connoisseurs. A collaboration with Château d’Esclans, this pop-up space, decked out with coir matting and touches of pink, invites you to relax and unwind with its Balinese beds, deckchairs, chiliennes and sweeping sea view. Oysters and ceviches are on the menu, along with a fine selection of wines and cocktails made with Whispering Angel rosé-based cocktails.

Rooftop Mama Shelter

Le plus convivial

The most cheerful. More than just an open-air storey, the Mama rooftop is a place to live, mingle and party. You go up there just out of curiosity. You stay for the bright, cheerful décor around the pool and come back for everything else. Friendly atmosphere, signature cocktails mixed by friendly barmen, lovingly prepared specialities - all to the sounds of DJ sets and live music. Choose from a wide range of dishes and sharing platters from the Mediterranean-style menu for lunch and dinner. The most glamourous. The famous lingerie brand has taken up residence for the summer beside the pool on the top floor of the Boscolo Nice Hotel & Spa. The décor is as Instagrammable as you could want, with a travel theme and the brand’s signature pink, from the furniture, deckchairs and parasols to the towels and inflatables. The experience extends as far as food, with a tasting menu devised by Italian chef Pasquale Lanzilotti.
