The Longchamp shop in Aix, first opened in 2004, was refurbished in 2017 and has now received a complete rejuvenating overhaul. The premises are in the Hôtel de Gueydan, a 17th-century building first listed as a historic monument in 1941. The leather goods and accessories are arrayed in a separate area to the read-to-wear and footwear. Items from the brand’s archives are showcased like museum pieces. In the décor, the brand’s trademark green expresses youthful energy while the floors feature the original 17th-century terra cotta tiles, a reminder of the brand’s deep Provençal roots.
