The Centre International d’Art Contemporain brings together 10 artists inspired by sound, but not to exhibit audio art or the depiction of music in painting. No, this collective exhibition looks at how some visual artists have been influenced by the forms, structures and indeed emotions of acoustic expression. From the vibrations of pictures born out of concerts to undefinable sounds that seem to translate immobility, the museum flags up the connections between sound and image in contemporary art. The programme includes an interesting performance of music and poetry with painting on 30 March at 3pm.
