Inspired by maritime buildings and seaside resorts, Raoul Dufy drew the life and landscapes of southern France superbly thanks to his talent and incessant work. This exhibition’s selection of watercolours, paintings and drawings immerses us in the atmosphere of fun and joyfulness that he captured in a riot of colour. Whether a celebration or a market scene, Dufy communicates the sounds, smells and energy of the scene through his characteristically vibrant lines. Three volumes illustrated by the painter complete the exhibition.
