Spotlight on the first big retrospective devoted to Lars Fredrikson. A painter, sculptor, illustrator and precursor of sound art, he was also an accomplished manual creative, experimenter and inventor, a man moved by poetic sensitivity but equally passionate about the technologies of his day – television, fax, radio. This exhibition in collaboration with the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco brings almost 200 of Fredrikson’s artworks together on the second floor of Nice’s Musée d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain. A perfect opportunity to discover his watercolours, paintings, fax drawings, kinetic and sound art, and lose yourself in his sound studio. Note too that Atelier Expérimental has a sound exhibition at Espace Rossetti until 31 May.
