He has this fascination with spontaneously emerging hand movements, with the simultaneously soft and strong lines that impose his rhythm and breath on a work. Having painted with acrylic on canvas since 1985, the artist then specialised in polyester paper, a new medium that allows for surprising watercolour effects. He now returns to painting on canvas, giving even more scope to his pictorial touch.
