Yachting takes centre stage with two benchmark regattas, the Giraglia Rolex Cup (14 to 18 June) and the Bailli de Suffren Trophy (28 June to 11 July). The first, organised by the Yacht Club Italiano, the Yacht Club de France and the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, with Rolex as official partner, will bring together 200 boats and 10 nationalities. The second is a friendly competition – known as the gentlemen’s race – between an armada of traditional yachts, covering approximately 580 nautical miles from Saint-Tropez to Malta with enjoyable stopovers in Sardinia and Sicily.
