Antibes's theatre has already shown itself open to most artistic disciplines and now adds contemporary art to its programme, with French sculptor Fabien Chalon setting the ball rolling. Until the end of May, two hours before each performance and every Saturday afternoon, you can discover, free of charge, the "intimate sculpture" of this artist obsessed by man's relationship with space and time. In 2008 Chalon's huge World on the Move sculpture, a public commission, was displayed in Paris's Gare du Nord railway station and instantly made him more widely known. Since then he has worked with Austrian artist Erwin Wurm as well as the Hermès fashion house. For Seen from the Stars Chalon has incorporated into his poetic moving machines a new technical process that enables him to control the random movement of smoke.
