Focus on Spain.

The ever-renewing sea, as Paul Valéry wrote of the Mediterranean. The Photomed festival invites us to discover and rediscover this light-drenched expanse, as the years pass, through the eyes of 118 photographers. No less the 20 exhibitions to be seen, in Espace Saint Nazaire and Maison de la Flotte in Sanary-sur-Mer, La Cadière, Le Castellet and even on Bendor Island. This fifth festival focuses on Spain, with famous Madrid actor Gabino Diego's collection, Toni Catany's platinum prints, and the unusual images captured by Alvaro Sánchez-Montañés. In addition there are Edouard Boubat's humanist portraits, Lebanon in the Sixties and Turkey today, and as photographers also use moving images, Toulon's Hôtel des Arts has an exhibition of video art.
