Voyage au cœur de la nuit

À la Villa Tamaris, Jacques Monory, Tremblement n° 10.

For two decades the Villa Tamaris art centre has focused on "painting's perpetual and incessant renewal", notably via the Figuration Narrative movement. The big villa overlooking Lazaret Bay and the Saint-Mandrier headland is exploring a theme rarely encountered during summer months, but there's nothing dark about the exhibition It's Night, which might equally appropriately have been named "A City at Night is Beautiful". The brainchild of three curators, this "wandering fiction" embraces seduction, dreaming and memory through the eyes of very diverse artists.
