David Ives’s two-hander play has been hugely successful and taken two Molière awards, one to Marie Gillain for Best Actress. This season the talented brunette stops off in Cannes, with Nicolas Briançon playing the frustrated director who, after an unproductive day auditioning, sees one last hopeful. This feisty actress’s multi-faceted interpretation knocks the stuffing out of him and the domination game he planned for her role starts to turn against him...
