After it was built in the 19th century this château rapidly became a meeting place for artists, a vocation that endured down the years from musician Louise Brisson de la Messardière, who loved sharing the excitement of her times, to her great-granddaughter and painter, Victoire. Upholding this tradition, each autumn the hotel pays tribute to two modern artists, who this season are Jacques Henri Lartigue, one of the greatest names in photography, and his son Dany, an entomologist, writer and painter whose canvases exude that Saint-Tropez ambience.
