From her preferred bestiary Pilar Albarracín chose to make a donkey the main subject of her installation in the Vallauris chapel, a tribute to her compatriot Pablo Picasso’s War and Peace fresco. Seated on a mound of books, the beast seems to have trotted straight out of Goya’s Caprichos.
