“We’re convinced that television is the future of cinema,” says Laurent Puons, the deputy director of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival. The event, whose Honorary President is HSH Prince Albert II, is a must for fans of the small screen and industry professionals alike. Every year it screens previews of new shows, launches series and hosts international stars. The best television programmes in the world compete for the prestigious Nymphe d’Or awards, with this year’s honorary award going to the producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Famous actors and future stars will walk the red carpet for the festival’s opening and closing ceremonies.
