A rendezvous for Mediterranean photographers, this Var festival is a hit in Lebanon too! Photomed dedicates its sixth edition to the memory of Leila Alaoui, shot recently by terrorists in Ouagadougou. From Sanary-sur-Mer to Toulon via La Cadière and Ile des Embiez, the festival explores the light and the shade, real or symbolic, forming an integral part of life on these shores. It focuses on cinemas with Alain Fleischer, Sergio Strizzi and Richard Dumas, Beirut with Lara Tabet, Giulio Rimondi and Bilal Tarabey, and ancient remains with Dolorès Marat, Ferran Freixa and Eric Bourret. Exhibitions that incite us to marvel and to think.
