Let’s hear it for the pop/rock concerts on the Palais terrace! As usual the Pantiero stage looking out over Cannes’s old harbour and the sea brings together well-known musicians and new discoveries. The first night brings Jessica93’s grimy riffs, Grand Blanc’s abrasive pop and the festival’s little favourite, the hypnotic La Femme. The next night spotlights Berlin project Africaine 808 with its mix of analogue sounds and traditional instruments, producer Débruit back from Istanbul with an electronic album with Middle-Eastern influences, and the emblematic St Germain, the pioneer French Touch band that collided with an African gourd, performing a new live show.
