After the summer concerts this festival invites us on an autumn exploration of jazz today, with big names and exciting young newcomers. It kicks off with multi-talented actor Lambert Wilson paying tribute to Yves Montand, and Benin singer Angélique Kidjo who has won three Grammy Awards. Al Jarreau delivers a new take on Duke Ellington’s song book and Ibrahim Maalouf celebrates women who have changed the course of history in his album Kalthoum. Also onstage will be Alune Wade, Richard Bona, Manu Katché and his quartet playing his soul-tinged compositions, and to close the festival, French-Canadian Robert Charlebois plays Monaco to celebrate his 50th year performing.
