The festival open to all forms of art this year focuses on contemporary music, from recitals to full orchestral concerts. In and around Nice its highlights include Séverine Ballon giving a cello and technology recital at the Musée National Marc Chagall and the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra accompanying a screening of Abel Gance’s silent film J’accuse at the opera house. At the Salle Juliette Greco in Carros there’s Alain Resnais’s film My American Uncle, Mauricio Kagel’s theatrical music composition Dressur, and a discussion led by Jean-François Trubert.
