“Dense, bright, dulled or oblique, light plays a vital role in depicting the body, giving rhythm to the image and bringing out the grain of the skin or the elasticity of the muscles,”states Dominique Jaussein. Through his lens the photographer sculpted the body of Ballets de Monte-Carlo soloist George Oliveira, producing a symphony in black-and-white to appreciate at this exhibition and in the art book devoted to the Signature gestuelle series.
