This has become a must-visit, delivering its share of surprises summer after summer, for each reopening to the public allows us to appreciate the progress made in the restoration of Eileen Gray's Villa E-1027 and Le Corbusier's Cabanon and Holiday Cabins, entrusted to the Cap Moderne association in 2014. But let us be clear: this project isn't only of interest to die-hard architecture buffs, it is intended as well to give visitors a taste of a lifestyle integral to a time and a place, and where the act of building was subordinate to the people. In addition to the guided tours, you can discover the fascinating exhibition Eileen Gray, a Private Architecture organised in collaboration with the Pompidou Centre, in the specially rehabilitated Hangar close to Roquebrune-Cap-Martin station. Not to be missed either are the Sunday brunches in the gardens and the dinners on the terraces on the nights when there are fireworks displays in Monaco, and other occasions. The high point?
