After opening a first gallery in Saint-Raphaël in 2014, Laurence Barbero recently inaugurated her new Saint-Tropez exhibition space. Her goal? To democratise art and help talented youngsters make themselves known. She is exhibiting street artist Seaty’s work inspired by hip-hop culture, Mr. Oreke’s “cartoonised” metro maps and Aiiroh’s huge sculptures; in a more fluor, pop-art vein, Parisian duo F&G’s Pitchous and Johanne 8’s Qee Bears; plus Géraldine Morin’s Balloons, Erik Salin’s Gélules and Rakel Wajnberg’s Malab’Arts. Neither should you miss Valérie Marty’s Piafs, Raphaël Laventure’s portraits, Françoise Nielly’s palette-knife painted faces, Alexandre de Poplavsky’s poetic world, Marina’s Danseuses and Zed’s Flexo. An explosion of art and colour!
