To mark the painter’s 150th birthday, the Le Cannet museum is showcasing the rich extent of Pierre Bonnard’s work. Conceived chronologically and thematically, the exhibition brings masterpieces from private collections and prestigious public institutions – Musée d’Orsay, Centre Pompidou, Musée Maillol – together with the important works held in the museum itself. Moving through the three floors we discover Bonnard’s first pictures, the natural world of Normandy and the Midi, self-portraits and intimate scenes.
