In their quest for a new kind of art, some of the 20th century's greatest artists – Braque, Picasso... – drew inspiration from African and Oceanian arts, as La Malmaison's big exhibition, From Primitive Expression to Inspired Vision, demonstrates. Until 26 October it is displaying almost 200 African sculptures from Jean Ferrero's collection in tandem with modern and contemporary artworks "thus influenced". Villa Domergue continues this same theme, after which you can visit the Musée de la Castre's ethnographic collections to complete your education in this exotic subject. There's a pass for all three exhibition spaces on sale.
