The four June nights of this festival’s 35th edition present musicians and performers that will have all music lovers worth their salt jumping for joy! On Tuesday 8 June, star violinist Renaud Capuçon (who hasn’t missed a single Biot festival) and pianist Kit Armstrong play a concert celebrating the ever appreciable and appreciated Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Of like calibre is the two-piano recital on 12 June, which brings Nikolaï Lugansky and Vadim Rudenko together to play Poulenc, Rachmaninov and Arenski. On 17 June there’s a solo concert by Russian pianist Arcadi Volodos, playing Schumann, Brahms and Schubert, and the festival builds to its climax on Wednesday 20 June with the great soprano Natalie Dessay, retired from opera since 2013, singing a medley of Massenet, Poulenc, Chopin, Bellini and others, accompanied by pianist Philippe Cassard.
