A Provençal village perched above the sea, a long-established community of artists, half a dozen unique places, an authentic cultural heritage... Put together that gives us the XXL exhibition of huge artworks initiated by gallerist and former Paris Beaux-Arts student Valérie Gaidoz (Galerie Gabel), who has been working on her open-air gallery project for more than a year. A dozen artists have scattered their work through the old village so we can discover them during our daytime and night-time wanderings. We see Jacky Coville’s Great Buddha with big red nose and sad eyes, Jean-Paul Van Lith’s Owl Head, Sophie Rustin’s moving bronze sculpture, Jean-Philippe Ghiglione’s famous Poppies, and the impressive glass and metal spheres by Christophe Saba and Fortuné Evangelisti.
