The programming for this 13th edition shows that jazz is as diverse and free-spirited as ever: open to all musical trends, honouring tradition while moving forward, drawing inspiration from music around the globe, and with the emphasis on creation,” its creative director, Jean-René Palacio, states. Festival highlights include the mesmerising Robin McKelle, the fabulous Gregory Porter, unmissable stars such as Bobby McFerrin and John McLaughlin, plus a special concert by Russian classical pianist Denis Matsuev playing an undisclosed programme. Another legend appearing is bass player Marcus Miller, who invited Belgian singer Selah Sue to contribute to his latest album and has announced she will join him on stage on 2 December. Further surprises include Benjamin Biolay plus Boy George’s reformed Culture Club!
