Daizy Blu, Mina Velours, Psykko Tico… those splendid Crazy Girls dancers, their perfect bodies sublimated by fabulous lighting effects, return to Cannes for seven stunning performances of Forever Crazy in its new 2018 version. A tribute to Alain Bernardin who founded the mythic Parisian cabaret, the show presents a choice selection of iconic Crazy Horse tableaux, not least
“God Save our Bareskin” that has been opening performances for nigh-on 30 years now – its creation was diligently supervised by a real officer of the UK’s Queen’s Guard! The programme also includes more recent creations by renowned collaborators, including lingerie queen Chantal Thomass’s “Reine des Cœurs” and “Dessous-Dessus”, and choreographer Philippe Decouflé’s “Crisis? What crisis!”, a topical act featuring curves of the business graph kind! Showcasing kaleidoscopic visual effects and sensual bodies with a goodly dose of joyful impertinence, that mad Crazy Horse charm delights eyes and imaginations alike, to end (or start) the year in sparkling form.
