African Queen

Retour vers le futur

The African Queen first opened in 1969 as a smart destination where the jet set came to party the night away and enjoy good Southern food. Now it has reopened, completely redesigned, thanks to Riccardo Giraudi, Philippe Schriqui and Patrick Gioannini. The high-powered trio wanted to refurbish it while preserving the essence of the place. Architect agency Humbert & Poyer reworked the interior with stylish ethnic and contemporary touches. The huge terrace, with cliffs behind and the marina in front, is now THE place to be. The food is excellent, with some Southern fare (truffle pizza anyone?), some novelties, and some simple things like cheesy baked pasta shells.
