Three months of work and now the Nice store has reopened after something more than a renovation: the introduction of a new concept intended to enhance the brand’s visual identity by drawing on the trademarks, notably black, that have been instrumental in its success. A beautifully crafted décor expresses both contemporary mood (waxed concrete, black gloss) and chic glamour, and the space has been completely reconfigured so as to incorporate a VIP lounge and an utterly adorable children’s department. Perfect conditions in which to discover the new collection that breathes fresh life into Rykiel’s genetic heritage (inside-out seams, intarsia, diamante, knits etc) like a homage to the carefree, inventive 70s. A special mention for the furs (squirrel, fox, mink…) in hugely on-trend colours such as raven blue-black, powder pink and port wine.
