Sophisticates will be delighted to learn that Anne and Bertrand Vignes, whom locals know from Ateliers Vignes, have now opened a concept store selling only bespoke watch straps, at the far end of Cours Saleya. In Bertrand's creations you recognise the delicacy, mastery and knowhow of a leather craftsman who has worked for both J.M. Weston and John Lobb. But with that little extra that means your watch strap will be truly special. The skins of course come in the usual finishes but also with more exclusive ones including pumiced, with a vintage patina, nubucked, faux-denim, metallic, lustred and so on. The atelier also sells hand-made belts and fashion accessories.
