The new Cannes store resembles an aquarium filled with luxurious treasures thanks to its big curvy windows in which the latest creations by Italian-Belgian style director Anthony Vaccarello appear to be literally floating. The sexy dresses he himself describes as “anatomical/graphical” seem suspended in the air, their meticulous, taut, sultry cuts demonstrating the talent of a designer adept at blending modernity into urban femininity. The ‘it’ bags cover an entire wall while eye-level display cases present the accessories: jewellery, leather items, belts, eyewear and so on. The architecture of the store, close to the Palais steps, is a modern interpretation of the 2000s’ style with art-deco touches such as veined white marble, polished metal and glass.
