The new season’s outdoor furniture employs materials such as fibre, metal, teak (natural or pickled) and painted mahogany, but what really strikes you is the ceramic stone, a brand new scratchproof, heatproof finish that looks and feels just like real stone. Check it out in the Play table tops and of course in this season’s star Esedra line, the fruit of a collaboration with Venetian designer Luca Nichetto. Esedra’s components (chair, lounge chair and sofa) create lovely little semi-circular “nests“ all light and comfy, the frames in Warmwhite, Dark Grey or Warmred and the soft fabric cushions in Nature White, Black Stone or Red Earth.
