The designer’s latest collection was unveiled to a hand-picked audience of guests in the garden of his Cannes home, La Jungle du Roi. Resort 2018 marks a new stage in the label’s evolution, a collection inspired by nature and light, featuring floral-patterned pieces enhanced by bright touches. The womenswear has a romantic feel to it, as in Fifties dresses and honeycomb netball skirts, but punk-rock attitude is still the soul of Plein woman, who likes to team these glamour garments with fleecy jumpers, bombers or studded leather jackets. Over in the menswear, denim rules via painted and embroidered skinny jeans and jackets. Don’t miss the new capsule collection produced in collaboration with graffiti artist Alec Monopoly.
