In a brightly-lit ambience of warm natural hues the Missoni store displays its new collection. For more than 50 years now the Italian label has been dressing women who are hedonistic, modern, adventuresome, free and into travel and exotic cultures, with an optimistic approach to life, an individual elegance and a kaleidoscope of colours being the hallmarks of the Missoni style. Channelling tribal art and the four elements (earth, air, fire and water) provides this season's leitmotiv. Multi-coloured and graphic outfits reinterpret sub-Saharan Africa and India: saris, sarongs, draped and asymmetrical dresses. Cold colours – green, blue, turquoise, violet – flirting with warm hues – yellow, orange, fuchsia, red – contrast with black and white, omnipresent this summer.
