Cassina

Masters of design

on parade. For the Milan Furniture Fair, Cassina treated us to a festival of reissues by the greatest masters of style. Just imagine: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin 1 geometrical easy chair, Vico Magistretti’s 905 chair in wood and leather, De Stijl spearhead Gerrit Rietveld’s Beugel chair in tubing and moulded plywood, Le Corbusier’s coloured stools that double up as boxes (trialled in his Roquebrune cabin), and the complete furniture suite (bed, wardrobe, table etc.) that Charlotte Perriand designed for the Maison du Mexique bedrooms in 1959. Only 30 of these signed and numbered suites are being produced, in two versions, 15 with a white gloss headboard and 15 with a natural sessile-oak one. You’ll have to move fast!
