In April 2015 a strategic alliance was initiated between the furnishing industry and Italian design. Boffi, the referential name in upmarket kitchens and bathrooms, bought out De Padova, the iconic brand of Italian designer furniture known the world over. As a result, the Cannes showroom now displays both brand worlds and provides the perfect opportunity for discovering their latest products. From De Padova, we like the new Blendy range with simple, enveloping shapes (sofa and armchair) by Japanese designer Omi Tahara, and among the reissues we’re pleased to note the roomy, generous Silvia cane armchair (Paolo Tilche, 1960). For Boffi, Piero Lissoni has yet again delivered a little marvel in the shape of Combine, a modular kitchen conceived as a set of juxtaposable elements allowing for angular, zigzag or linear layouts. One for the connoisseurs!
