From 7pm until two in the morning, in this summer pop-up’s plush interior or on its plant-filled glass-roofed terrace, you can sip the latest cocktails invented by head barman Emanuele Balestra. He makes his Bloody Boudoir with vodka, tomato juice, his own citron bitters, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt and extract of helichrysum, the Italian everlasting flower grown in the Majestic’s garden. Or perhaps you’d prefer a Boudoir Spritz of champagne, Provence rosé, Saint-Germain liqueur, Aperol, Perrier and rose geranium. If you feel a bit peckish, chef Pierrick Cizeron does his signature “ethnic food nibbles”, a concept perfectly suited to the place’s world drinks, for example gambas in kadaïf with tonkatsu sauce, bream ceviche with sweet potato, avocado and buckwheat, broad-bean falafel with tarator sauce, chilled black cod in miso with pickled ginger.
