The two-tone parasols are hard to miss. The Beach Club, a charming straw hut at the end of Gigaro Beach below the hotel, offers water sports (paddle yoga, sea wading, aqua boxing) with certified coaches. Or you can opt for pure relaxation… Reclining on a sunbed, you can soak up the Mediterranean scents of the maquis, mingling with the softness of the warm sand. Chef Vincent Maillard applies his “from the vegetable garden to the plate” philosophy to the menus for this summer’s two restaurants. With its unique waterside terrace, La Brigantine offers elegant trattoria-style Italian cuisine from the northern lakes to Sicily (vitello tonnato, green risotto with spring vegetables, grilled fish, and more). While the Italian restaurant, Pépé, serves simple, flavoursome market cuisine, much as you’d find in a small village.
