The Paris campus created quite a buzz when it opened for its innovative teaching methods and street art exhibitions. 42 Nice also now admits future developers to the Nice Meridia technology park!

After Paris, Lyon and Angoulême, the Côte d'Azur capital now has its own Ecole 42, training students in high-level programming. And the philosophy behind these establishments conceived by Xavier Niel, founder of Iliad-Free? "Beyond learning a trade, you learn to learn, to become autonomous," enthuses Rachid Abarki, President of the Nice Région Sud Campus. The school’s philosophy is accessibility for all age 18 and over. Potential is evaluated during so-called piscines, involving candidates in a month of intensive coding tests. Gradually the level rises. By this method, 150 students were selected this year in Nice to take part in this free 3-year training course. Teaching is available on the intranet, providing those who already have a job or family constraints with more flexibility. Learners work in open space on a 1,200m2 campus that encourages enriching collaboration between Generations X, Y and Z. “At the end of the course, their employability is 100%, with a salary around €38,000 to €45,000 per annum (gross)”. As a Région Sud and Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur partner, Ecole 42 is banking on proximity, training today employees of tomorrow for local companies choosing to take the digitalisation plunge.
